1Who this covers

This is the product privacy notice for Plintrix (plintrix.tech), a product of Avenoric. It sits alongside Avenoric's Privacy Policy and explains what's specific to Plintrix. Avenoric is the data fiduciary for your information under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2What we collect

  • Account details: your email and name, or your name, email and profile photo from Google if you sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and stored only in hashed form; we never see them.
  • Guest identifier: if you learn without an account, a random ID so we can save your progress.
  • Your profile: the answers you give at the start (who you are, why you're learning, how much you know, your daily goal), your generated username and avatar, and your time zone.
  • Learning activity: lessons completed, answers and mistakes, XP, gems, hearts, streaks, quests, achievements and league results.
  • What you write: questions you ask Pli, prompts you write for grading, and topics you ask Plintrix to teach.
  • Reminders: if you turn them on, a push token for your browser and your chosen reminder time. If you have an account, we may also send at most one reminder email a day to your account's email address on days you haven't learned; every email has a link to stop them, and you can turn them off in your Profile.
  • Payments: the plan you bought, the amount, and Razorpay's order and payment IDs. Razorpay handles your card, UPI or bank details; we never receive them.
  • Usage analytics: which screens you open and key steps you take (for example finishing onboarding, completing a lesson, viewing plans or paying), with your account ID if you have one, so we can see what helps people learn. These events never include your email, name, or anything you type.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs, used to run Plintrix, keep it secure and stop abuse. If error monitoring is on, crash reports are collected without personal data.

We don't ask for sensitive information like ID numbers, health or financial details. Please don't type them into Ask Pli or the prompt grader.

3How we use it

  • to run Plintrix: build your learning path, save your progress, grade your answers and run the game (streaks, leagues, quests);
  • to generate AI lessons, answers from Pli and feedback on your prompts;
  • to send reminders you've turned on, and important messages about your account or purchases;
  • to keep Plintrix safe and fair: preventing spam, fraud, cheating and abuse of the AI features (including reCAPTCHA checks and daily limits);
  • to understand what works and improve lessons, using aggregated or de-identified data;
  • to meet legal duties, such as keeping payment records for tax.

4AI and what you type

Plintrix uses Google's Gemini models on Vertex AI. When you ask Pli a question, write a prompt for grading, or ask for a topic, that text (and the relevant lesson context) is sent to the model to produce your response. Google processes it on our behalf and, under its terms for Vertex AI, does not use it to train its models.

Plintrix's lessons are written by AI ahead of time and shared by learners; your personal answers and questions are not put into lessons that other people see.

5What other learners can see

Only your username, avatar and XP, on the leaderboards. Your real name, email, answers and questions are private.

If you're on Pro Career and create a course certificate, it has its own page showing the name you choose, the course and your progress in it. Anyone with its link can see it (that's how employers check it), but it's kept out of search engines. Deleting your account takes it down. Project reviews and mock interviews are private to you.

6Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data and we don't show ads. We use these providers to run Plintrix; each handles data only to provide its service to us:

ProviderWhat for
Google Cloud and FirebaseHosting, database, sign-in, push reminders, App Check and reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention)
Google Vertex AI (Gemini)Generating lessons, Ask Pli answers and prompt feedback
UpstashDaily usage limits, answer caching and weekly leaderboards

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect learners or Plintrix, or as part of a merger or sale (we'd tell you first).

7Where your data is stored

Your account and learning data are stored on Google Cloud in Mumbai, India. Some processing happens outside India, including AI processing in the United States and our providers' own infrastructure; where data crosses borders we rely on our providers' safeguards and applicable law.

8How long we keep it

  • Your account and progress: for as long as your account exists.
  • Guest progress: we may delete guest data that hasn't been used for 12 months.
  • When you delete your account: your profile, progress, questions and reminders are deleted straight away from our live systems, and from backups within 30 days.
  • Payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you delete your account.
  • Usage-limit counters: a day or so. Error reports: up to 90 days.

9Your rights and choices

Under the DPDP Act (and similar laws where you live) you can:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it (you can edit your name, username and avatar in your Profile);
  • delete it: use “Delete my account” in your Profile, or email us;
  • withdraw consent, for example by turning off reminders;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or can't;
  • complain to our Grievance Officer and, if you're not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.

Email legal@avenoric.tech. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

10Age

Plintrix is only for people aged 18 or older, and everyone confirms their age when they set up Plintrix. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 is using Plintrix, email legal@avenoric.tech and we'll close the account and delete its data.

11Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request to our servers is checked with a signed login token, other learners can't read your data, and access within our team is limited. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a vulnerability, please report it through responsible disclosure.

12Changes and contact

We'll update this notice as Plintrix changes, change the date above, and tell you in the app about important changes.

Grievance Officer: Kanak Raj, Avenoric. Email legal@avenoric.tech. See also our Terms of Use.
